Reviewing four organizations that share Sheepdog Church Security Academy’s mission, vision, and/or goals.

From the Bible –

Beseeching us with much entreaty in regard of this grace and the FELLOWSHIP IN THE MINISTERING to the saints (2 Corinthians 8:4)

For we are God’s FELLOW-WORKERS: ye are God’s husbandry, God’s building (1 Corinthians 3:9).

... making my supplication with joy, for your FELLOWSHIP IN FURTHERANCE OF THE GOSPEL from the first day until now (Philippians 1:4b-5).

Introduction -

The Bible says a lot about fellowship, its value, and with whom it is to be shared. There are several organizations in fellowship with Sheepdog Church Security Academy (SDSA). Four of them are:

There are others that may be considered affiliates, but for now we’ll focus on these four.

Four Fellow Organizations of SCSA –

Christian Warrior Training,

Christian Warrior Training (CWT) is the ministry of Keith Graves, who is a retired law enforcement officer. His experience included being the leader of a SWAT team and a narcotics detective. He was a sergeant. Graves has trained thousands, both here at home and globally. The stated mission of CWT is “to help churches prepare, train, and think clearly about security without losing their Christian witness.” [1].

This includes open training (outside of classes and tutoring) and the CWT website. It states its purpose this way:

This publication is written for church security team members, safety ministry volunteers, pastors, and Christians who take the responsibility of protecting their congregation seriously. [2].

Another open training resource is the daily newsletter email. Each issue begins with a key article and continues with a load of reports on security issues. These include general and specific threats to churches and communities as well as specific instances and responses.

On the website, and often included in an email, is the CWT scale of the Current Threat Level. One example is the April 20, 2026 message explaining how and why the Threat Level was changed to High for that date because of the Columbine Effect (following the 1999 mass school

shooting). It has been the inspiration and example for wannabe mass attackers. There are days when specific threats are noted. For defenders needing to prepare for active and likely threats, this is key intelligence. When you open the CWT website, the sign-up page for the emails pops up. If you want to see the threat assessment on your phone, there is a QR code to take you there. [3]. You can subscribe to CWT. There are free and paid subscriptions. Quoting the site, here are what subscribers receive:

What free subscribers receive =

Free subscribers receive ongoing intelligence, training concepts, and situational awareness focused on churches and Christian communities (for the full list click on the link):

Free content is intentionally designed to be useful on its own.

What paid members receive

Paid members receive additional material designed to help individuals and teams stay current, prepared, and aligned (for the full list click on the link):

Paid membership supports the time and work required to produce usable intelligence, training, and briefing materials that churches can actually apply.

Three of the tabs in the banner at the top of the CWT home page are Podcast, Chat, and Training.

Christian Warrior Training is your link to timely intelligence, analysis of current church security incidents, and training resources.

Worship Security Academy,

Simon Osamoh [OH-sah-moe] was born a British subject with a Nigerian father. In his native Britain, he was a police officer and detective. He moved to a counter terrorism task force and became a leader in that field. He came to the United States when hired by Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota to organize and manage its counter-terrorism team. [4].

The church Simon attended enlisted him to lead its security ministry. From there, he saw the church’s needs for safety and security and began to help other churches in this area of concern. This led to establishing the Worship Security Association (WSA), now Worship Security Academy, and its associated business, Kingswood Security Consulting. The change in name from “Association” to “Academy” is to reflect the WSA’s key role in training, coaching, and advising churches in safety and security.

Simon is also the editor for Worship Facility’s Security column. Frequent writers for this column are Simon, Jeff Kearnan of Kearnan Consulting Group, and Lori Morrison (a licensed private investigator and member of her church’s security team). [5].

Kris has interviewed Simon twice on videocasts, “Special Interview with Simon” in 2021 and “Interview with Simon Osamoh, WSA” in 2023. [6][7].

Five of the offerings on WSA are Online Church Safety Training for Staff and Volunteers, 11th Annual Securing Your Place of Worship (Online Conference on Tuesday September 8, 2026. 9:00am - 4:30pm (CST)), Digital Church Safety Resources, WSA Video Vault (for members only), and Decision Decks.

Online Church Safety Training:

The training consists of six courses:

Digital Church Safety Resources:

These are scenarios in 21 table-top exercises. They come with “step-by-step facilitator guides.” The goal is “to strengthen preparedness and elevate your safety program.” [8].

WSA Video Vault:

Membership for the video vault is $7 a month. The vault includes monthly training sessions with Simon, monthly sessions with experts, and unlimited access to all the recordings. [9].

Decision Decks:

This resource is decks of cards with situations stated on them. A team member will consider what the response will be. There is no “right” answer. The intent is to stimulate thinking during various situations. Team members can then discuss the pros and cons of the situations. Factors not stated on the card can influence the responses, so there is a “What if” factor.

There are four editions, based on the security venues: School Edition, Church Edition, Family Edition, and Business Edition. [10].

Worship Security Academy can broaden and deepen the knowledge and skills of you and your team in protecting the safety and security of your congregation.

House Of Faith & Freedom,

The House of Faith & Freedom (HOFF) was started by Hannah Fordice and Nicky Osterhus to address “intimate partner abuse,” more commonly known as “domestic abuse.” Its motto is, "Be Proactive. Not Reactive." Hannah, educated in Psychology and Human Services, has worked with governments and non-profit organizations concerning domestic violence and related issues. Her work involved education, victim services, and community outreach. She has written a book on the domestic abuse subject, Ready Refuge, which is available on Amazon. [11][12].

HOFF also offers training. Godly Response to Intimate Partner Violence (A Faith-Based Approach to Abuse Advocacy). With Hannah Fordice as the instructor, it has eight classes covered in 16 videos (classes vary in the number of videos for each, 1-5). It costs $150 to enroll. The ticket is good for six months. [13].

The Seeking Sanctuary: House to Heart podcast has 34 episodes. Most tell the individual stories of several persons. In one, “Coffee Talks: The Gospel & Abuse,” Hannah and Nicky discuss the meaning of abuse and where it comes from. It is not all physical. It began in the Fall (Genesis 3) and comes from the desire to control others or to resist control – two sides of the same motive. It is in the Gospel that we find the answer to abuse. [14].

In another podcast, “Creating Safer Churches with Security Ministries,” Hannah and Nicky hold a conversation with Kris Moloney of Sheepdog Church Security Academy. After introducing Kris to the HOFF listeners, they discuss the role of church safety ministries in responding to domestic abuse. A large share of security incidents in churches (from noisy disruptions to parental child kidnapping to lethal violence) comes from domestic discord. This podcast was posted as a videocast by SCSA, “Seeking Sanctuary House to Heart Interview | Church Security Roll Call 338.” [15][16].

It is in this podcast/videocast that we learn how HOFF became a SCSA affiliate: Hannah and Nicky live in the same community as Kris, and Hannah’s husband was his fellow police officer.

The HOFF site also has a list of resources:

Hannah has expanded her ministry beyond HOFF. She is now also the Development Manager for GRACE (Godly Response to Abuse in the Christian Environment). This organization investigates reports of abuse in churches and other Christian institutions. [18].

Through House of Faith & Freedom you can learn more about domestic abuse and how to address it in homes and respond to it proactively in the church.

Mountain Man Medical,

This affiliation differs from the three above. It has to do with equipment and supplies. However, SCSA and Mountain Man Medical (M3) do share a common goal: making supplies for medical emergency response both available and affordable. M3 does this for many kinds of organizations while SCSA does it for churches. Also, Kris Moloney, founder of Sheepdog Church Security Academy, has worked with M3 in developing the Mass Casualty Trauma Kit. In addition, Kris has developed the Sheepdog Belt IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) for use by Church Safety Team and Medical Response Team members. [19][20].

Obviously, when expendable items in the kits have been used or date-expired, they need to be replaced. M3 has all the supplies needed to replenish the kits they sell. Determining what is needed in these kits has been a joint effort between M3 and its affiliates (partners), such as SCSA.

M3 also has links to three medical response training courses:

Mountain Man Medical is a good source to use for equipping your teams for medical emergencies. If you purchase either the Sheepdog Belt IFAK or the Mass Casualty Trauma Kit (or both) using the links here, Sheepdog Church Security will get a commission to help its work.

Training Note –

Affiliates of Sheepdog Church Security Academy are sources of information and advice. All of them offer training. Consider the affiliate programs to be continuing education. They will supplement and enhance the training received through SCSA, including the Safety Member Certification program.

Conclusion –

Visit these four affiliates of Sheepdog Church Security and use them to better equip you to protect the flock.
