About Us

I'm a Sheepdog . . .

Founder - Kris P. Moloney

Hi, I’m Kris P. Moloney. I serve the Church by creating training materials for part-time Church Safety / Security Directors who serve medium to small size churches with limited resources. I give them the tools they need to provide reputable and realistic training to their Church Safety Team members without spending hours researching and developing courses from scratch. (No sense in reinventing the wheel!)

I am a Police Officer with over 15 years of experience and a retired Army Captain and Company Commander. I have certifications in a number of specialties to include Crime Prevention, Security Assessments, and the Crime Free Program. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Ministry and a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minnesota.

When I’m not developing training or consulting with churches, I spend time with my wife and high school sweetheart, Rebecca, and my teenage daughter, Rachel. We enjoy going to the zoo and nerding out on Sci-Fi.

If you’re interested in knowing more, here are a few more things about me:

  • I was deployed to Iraq in 1990 for Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. As a MP (Military Police), I collected Iraqi prisoners from the front line units.
  • I went back to Iraq in 2003 because my luck is just that bad. This time, I served by guarding Saddam Hussein and the “Deck of Cards” (the top Iraqi leaders). I also did a lot of convoy escorts.
  • I am a Krav Maga Instructor (Self-Defense) for Law Enforcement Officers.
  • And I’m a volunteer Church Safety / Security Director just like many of you.

Meet the Sheepdog Church Security Team

Malene Little

Hi, I'm Malene Little. I am grateful to be able to work with Sheepdog Church Security. My professional background is mostly as an educator and nonprofit administrator. I have been teaching college for nine years and have been volunteering with USD Head Start for six years. I have immensely appreciated the opportunity to help with the research, writing, and editing of educational articles for the benefit of churches across America. I feel blessed to be able to contribute to churches' ability to keep their members safe in their worship.

Ron Neeley

Hi, I’m Ron Neeley. Sure am honored to be serving our Lord with Sheepdog Church Security! My background? Well - - medically retired U.S. Army Sergeant; have experience in Christian & secular radio as a DJ, news & sports reporter, & have also done voiceovers for TV commercials. Also have an extensive background as a security company operations manager, & running mall & city court security programs. I’m an ordained pastor & civilian chaplain; a volunteer assistant pastor at my church, where like many of you I’m also the volunteer Safety & Security Director. So, with God’s leading, I’ve done a few things in my life! In our violent day & age, churches are no longer “off limits”; security is a must, as we help our Lord protect His flock.

Wesley G. Vaunghn

Hi! I am Wesley G. Vaughn. It is my pleasure to write and edit for Sheepdog Church Security. My Bachelors and Masters degrees are in biblical studies. Most of my work experience is in food service and manufacturing, but also includes being a security officer and teaching biblical studies in college. I have been writing and editing since 2008. This includes content writer for websites, pro bono writer and assistant editor for a local Christian paper, editing books for Christian authors, and now writing for Sheepdog Church Security. I find fulfillment and purpose in bringing a biblical perspective into the subject of church security.

Gen Johnson

Hi, I’m Gen Johnson. I am a busy mom of four children who are now all school aged. It has been a privilege to step into the position of “virtual assistant” for Sheepdog Church Security as I transition into working after 10 years of caring for little ones at home. Editing the podcasts and articles, sending out the weekly updates, putting together the monthly newsletter, and posting daily church crime updates are just a few of the things I do. I have loved being a part of the Sheepdog team and doing a lot of the background work that goes along with running an online ministry.
